A FRESH Wave of ELECTRIC CIGARETTES
An e-cigarette, generally known as an electronic nicotine delivery system, is a new electronic device that basically replicates the action of cigarette Element Vape smoking through the heating of a substance (e-juice) in a cartridge. It features a battery, a power power source like a rechargeable battery, and a reservoir like a tank or cartridge. Rather than smoke, the vaper inhales invisible vapor instead. As such, using an e-cigarette is not actually called “smoking” at all – it’s more accurately called “consuming”.
Currently, e-cigs have been successfully used by thousands of smokers to reduce or completely eliminate their smoking habits. But think about the teenagers that are still technically smokers, but who are trying to kick the habit? Is there market for e-cigarette use among high school students? The solution may surprise you.
Most e-cigs do not contain nicotine at all. This means that they’re completely safe for anyone to use. E-cigs that do contain nicotine are often nicotine-free or at the very least hypo-allergenic, so children and adult non-smokers are equally more likely to experience no dangerous nicotine side effects. And even for teens and young adults who may be concerned about potential dangers, using an e-cig with no nicotine content can be highly effective in the short term. A nicotine-free cartridge could keep a smoker’s lungs from developing excessive mucus and saliva, and the aerosol is considered less harmful than the smoke from a conventional cigarette.
There are a few health concerns about the liquid nicotine content in e-cigs. Nicotine is a poison that’s highly toxic when it’s blended with other chemicals. But because the nicotine content is diluted in the liquid itself, it poses little danger when it comes into connection with other substances. Actually, researchers have discovered that nicotine is mildly toxic when applied to the skin. Manufacturers have been able to minimize this danger by including only smaller amounts of the poison in nearly all their products. A spray bottle or tip will help to disperse the poison through the entire liquid.
There is some concern about the aftereffect of secondhand e-cigarette aerosol on respiratory diseases. Smoke from cigarettes contains more cancer-causing compounds than the e-cigarette aerosol itself. But these studies haven’t proven a connection between secondhand smoking and any type of respiratory disease.
Most companies have recognized the need to market a wholesome product to teenage and adults. Some companies have added flavors and textures with their past products so they interest the tastes of the younger consumer. One particular addition is fruit flavored e-juice. Juul offers apple, blueberry, cherry and lemon flavors that appeal to the tastes of many teenage and young adult consumers.
The most recent creation by a major tobacco company is the electronic cigar or tank system. These are battery powered, plug and go cigarette vapes that can be used anywhere and anytime. They do not require a warming plate or an atomizer, so that they are perfect for college campuses, apartments and bus or train stations. Utilizing a cigarette lighter, one simply takes out the vial of liquid solution, places the unit in the air and starts smoking.
E-Cigarette technology has come a long way. With the addition of flavors and textures, these products are now more desirable to teenagers and young adults than ever before. Manufacturers are scrambling to figure out new ways to combat the rising issue of smoking among younger people. Although there is absolutely no real way to determine how much of an impact these new electronic cigarettes could have on the smoking rates, it is just a clear indication that something is changing in the world of smoking.
